I would like to try to lay this vector for research in a certain time interval. Let’s take one year trying to fit my visual aspect with the formation of my vision and the transfer of meanings from texts to photos / videos. I care about this topic and it has been vividly lived and is being lived in all the areas mentioned.
The trigger for the works and the desire to ‘say’ was the theme of our Photographers Union, where every week everyone create and publish their own works on a randomly selected topic. Today it is a Ripley series with a delightfully complex visual and an exciting story.
Well, my vector for studying and dialogue with the world is Manipulation.
The works used only my recent Sunday (14/09/2025) documentary photographs from the Winnipeg Art Gallery — Qaumajuq, my photographs from real sculptures displayed there, and used parts of these photographs embedded in my images of the surrounding space with visual semantic overtones. Yes, I combined the parts of the current exhibition in this Gallery and conveyed my own author’s word through a completely different meaning. Reference points with the title of the works, the idea, and in general, further research on the topic through my range of vision will be published on my website in the Library section. I want to dive into the topic and try to “feel” it more succinctly.

Хочу попробовать заложить данный вектор для исследования в некоем временном промежутке, попробуем уложить в разрезе года с формированием моего видения и переноса смыслов из текстов в фото/видео визуальный аспект отображения. Тема мне небезразлична и ярко проживалась и проживается во всех озвученных сферах.
Триггером для работ и желания ‘сказать’ выступила тема нашего сообщества Фотографов ФотоПетли, где каждую неделю на случайно выбранную тему каждый создает и публикует свои работы. Сегодня это сериал “Рипли” с восхитительно сложным визуалом и будоражащей все естество историей.
Ну и мой вектор для изучения и диалога с миром — Манипуляции.
В работах использованы только мои свежие от 14/09/2025 воскресные документальные снимки из галереи Winnipeg Art Gallery — Qaumajuq, мои снимки с реальных скульптур, выставленных там же, и использованы части данных фотографий, вмонтированные в мои снимки окружающего пространства с визуальными смысловыми подтекстами. Да, я объединила части текущей экспозиции в данной Галерее и передала через совершенно иной мной заложенный смысл и собственное авторское слово.
Ориентиры с названием работ, идеей, и в целом далее исследование темы через мой спектр видения будут публиковаться на моем сайте тут. Хочу погрузиться в тему и попробовать ее ‘пощупать’ более емко.
I want to share how the creation of these works on the chosen topic has taken place at the current moment.
A signal was received to the brain — the topic was chosen to watch the Ripley series in order to be further inspired and create my own works based on the responded visual.
There was resistance to watching, there were attempts to watch earlier, but it turns out they did not cover more than 15 minutes of the series and were abandoned.
I started watching.
The plot and visual were completely covered to the point of stupor. I couldn’t stop until I watched it to the end.
Hesitation — it is not clear what to shoot.
Sunday. I decided to remember that I had not been to the Gallery for a long time, although I bought an annual subscription. And also a month ago I planned this visit on my Calendar. “Combo”, I thought.
I took the camera.
I saw a recent exhibition, was impressed, and took down the sculptures. I went through all the halls.
For the first time I went to an open roof with sculptures. It was cloudy. I went to take pictures, watched. The sun came out outside the forecast, and gave a gorgeous hard contrast and black-and-white pattern. I took some pictures. I went home happy.
On Monday, I moved the shooting to my computer. I started scrolling through the pictures and saw masks from the sculptures in my head. Intuitively, I decided to attach them to the pictures with the atmosphere of the gallery. I took the red line and let’s go. I collected 16 works in one go.
I started looking at why I created them, what they are for me. And I realized that the theme of manipulation was everywhere, main theme of watched Series.
I opened Wikipedia and then found certain characteristics reflected in my works. Compared them. I felt compelled to think about this topic further and deeper as I lived through the inner themes and responses in the current segment of my life.
I will try.

Хочу поделиться как в текущем моменте произошло создание данных работ на выбранную тему.
Получен сигнал в мозг — выбрана тема смотреть сериал Рипли, чтобы далее вдохновиться и создать свои работы на откликнувшийся визуал.
Сопротивление на просмотр, ранее были попытки посмотреть, но оказывается они не охватили более 15 мин сериала и брошены.
Начала смотреть.
Сюжет и визуал охватили полностью до оцепенения. Не смогла остановиться, пока не досмотрела до конца.
Раздумья — не понятно что снимать.
Решила вспомнить, что давно не была в Галерее WAG, хотя купила годовой абонемент. К тому около месяца назад я вносила этот поход ровно на этот день в своем планировщике. “Вот это комбо, судьба”, — подумала я.
Взяла камеру.
Увидела свежую выставку, впечатлилась, сняла скульптуры. Обошла все залы.
Впервые вышла на открытую крышу со скульптурами. Было облачно. Ходила снимала, наблюдала. Вышло солнце вне прогноза, и дало шикарный жесткий контраст и светотеневой рисунок. Поснимала. Поехала домой довольная. В понедельник перенесла съемку на компьютер. Начала крутить снимки и увидела в голове маски от снятых скульптур. Интуитивно решила приложить к снимку с атмосферой галереи. Взяла красную линию и пошло поехало. На одном дыхании собрала 16 работ.
Начала смотреть почему я их создала, о чем они для меня. И я поняла, что везде пронеслась тема манипуляции, насквозь прошитая смыслами и искажениями в этом просмотренном сериале.
Открыла Википедию и далее нашла те или иные характеристики, отображенные в моих работах. Сопоставила. Отозвалось подумать на эту тему дальше и глубже по мере проживания внутренних тем и откликов в текущем отрезке жизни.
По крайней мере я попытаюсь.
N 4 — Psychological manipulation
Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that is an activity aimed at changing the perception (or behavior) of other people using covert, deceptive, or violent tactics in the interests of the manipulator. An analogy can be given with the concept of psychological fraud.
Психологическая манипуляция — тип социального воздействия, представляющий собой деятельность с целью изменить восприятие (или поведение) других людей при помощи скрытой, обманной или насильственной тактики в интересах манипулятора. Можно привести аналогию с понятием психологическое мошенничество.

Rivalry as one of the forms of human interaction according to E.L. Dotsenko is characterized by: 1) treating a partner as a dangerous and unpredictable object that cannot be underestimated; 2) striving to outplay him, “snatch” a unilateral advantage; 3) using both covert and overt influence (certain types of “subtle” manipulation, tactical agreements)

Fellowship as another type in the system of human relations, which is manipulated according to E.L.Dotsenko. Characterized by: 1) the attitude towards the partner as a valuable person in itself; 2) the desire to unite, to work together to achieve similar or overlapping goals; 3) the use of consent (consensus) as the main method of interaction. Thus, in accordance with the classification of E. L. Dotsenko, this type of manipulation involves unequal relationships, close to dominance, but characterized by a lower intensity of impact on the psyche of the partner.

Caring and conscientious people cannot help but sympathize with someone else’s suffering, and a manipulator can often easily play on sympathy in order to achieve cooperation.

Simon — манипулятор изображает себя жертвой обстоятельств или чьего-либо поведения, чтобы добиться жалости, сочувствия или сострадания и таким образом достичь желаемой цели. Faking innocence is also one of the methods of control according to George K. - habit, after constant manipulation of victims,
the desire to practice and test the effectiveness of any techniques.

В заключении мне хотелось бы отметить этой работой вдруг неожиданной и выбивающейся из всей серии следующее:

2. Я задаю некое эфемерное обещание эту исследовательскую работу исполнить, но скорее всего, даже уверенно могу сказать, что итоговая форма работы будет кардинально отличаться от той, что сейчас вы здесь видите.
3. Есть шанс, что я и не вернусь к этой работе, потеряв интерес. Но это не важно для меня, так как я выйду значит на некие более важные срезы для исследования.
