So, thanks to gorgeous theme Rhythm, I got to the shooting, which I postponed all the way from last year’s spring trip to Moscow. I made a part then, and scrolled/turned this one and sent it to the archive. I have a lot of this kind of material, all in good time. These works are dedicated to my dear friend, one of the best flamenco dancers and the first in Russia (for me, she is the best!), originally my teacher in this field, Olga Samoilova. At her performances, I always, always, cry. That’s how she is, the real her.
Next, I would like to talk about rhythm, and we have a theme with rhythm violations, just like in flamenco, where there are contra rhythms, sound beats between the main notes of each flamenco style, and there are quite a few of them. It’s a whole tree to learn and not to relearn! Flamenco is, I would say, the most challenging dance and art form.
This is also due to these contra sounds, like missed beats. But in a clear, correct, yet such a ‘miss’, in a contra rhythm, incomparable ecstatic confrontations, mergers, new harmony are formed. If you go deep, listen, study, observe the flamenco aces, I swear, you will jump to the ceiling from the fact that your heart will applaud. But it all depends on the quality. It is not in Winnipeg, for sure. For they serve something shabby, completely not true in our area.

I want to express my gratitude, respect, and love to my talented Olya, thanking her for all the things that have connected us and continue to do so, especially her soul and heart, her beauty, and her flamenco. Although I no longer dance flamenco, it has brought me many blessings in my life. However, one of my main dreams remains connected to Spain and flamenco. Perhaps this is the essence of my experiences, my life, and my journey. By the way, the music here is not flamenco!
